Alexander and Elizabeth’s story continues…

After Alexander takes a bullet for Elizabeth, he sees Christmas in a whole new light. This woman is no temporary playing. She’s a gift, a woman he’ll do everything in his considerable power to protect. A woman it would destroy him to lose.

Still reeling from how close she came to losing Alexander, Elizabeth struggles to reconcile her desire to surrender in the bedroom with her fierce need for independence outside it. Along with convincing her Dom he doesn’t have to shower her with jewels at every turn.

But this Christmas, all is not calm in the Fairhaven family. The prospect of meeting Alexander’s formidable mother weighs on Elizabeth’s mind. And his brother Nicholas has made some very dangerous enemies. Enemies who won’t hesitate to threaten Elizabeth to get what they want.

While recovering from the events of In His Silks, Alexander and Elizabeth are both trying to get their footing in this new but very intimate relationship. Though Alexander is quite clearly ready to take the next step, I was thrilled to see his respect and understanding at her hesitation with things moving too quickly.

There were many moments that I loved in this story, though I won't go into detail for fear of spoilers. I'll simply say that Christmas Silks was quick and lovely, with the same heat and intensity I loved from the first book, and I'd highly recommend reading it for a further glimpse into this swoon-worthy couple.
