After having read Forever Kept of the Vampire Brides series (which, like this one, suits just fine as a standalone), it was interesting to see Ewan escape from the Hunters when their ideals no longer matched up with his own. His travels led him to a small town in Newfoundland, where he comes across the village's sexy and fierce protector... a vampire, no less.

Watching as both Ewan and Kara set aside their prejudices to accept what Fate has in store for them is a real treat. While definitely on the shorter side, the stage Eddy created here was enough to have me itching for more - especially of Kara's previous travels and her own rebellion. But on its own, Immortal Hunter pairs steamy scenes with the kind of suspense we know and love from her. (Plus no small amount of magic!)
