I can't even begin to say how much I love this book. I know, it's short, but the story just resonated with me. Garrett and Lilah are not only a beautiful love story, but Patricia D Eddy writes of desperation, nightmares and fear as these two overcome the obstacles to find each other. Garrett meets Lilah in a bar he is working in, and notices immediately how her boyfriend treats her. Knowing exactly what is going on, he keeps his eye on her, not only for her own safety, but because he has a crush on her. Fast forward a year later, and so much has changed. But have these two found a way to their own happiness? I loved every minute of this. Dealing with being stateside now and has dealt with this prosthesis. Lilah is free now, and ready for love. But ghosts are still around and danger lurks. Give this a listen. It's fantastic!

Narrated by Brooke Bloomingdale, the story comes alive! She finds the perfect voice, the perfect tone and all the emotions to make the characters real. She did a amazing job flowing from Garrett to Lilah and had my attention from the very start. I enjoyed this listen!
