Willow
In the past three weeks, I’ve gone from a boring adjunct college professor to seeing my own ghostly doppelgänger around every corner.
I’m apparently a witch. Thanks, Universe. A little heads up would have been nice.
Now, a secret government organization is trying to force me to wield my power for their own dark desires.
Just as they’re about to bring the pain, I’m saved by an honest-to-God—yes,
that God—angel.
He smells nice. His voice is like spun gold. And when he holds me? I’m ashamed to admit…I swoon. But I can’t trust anyone—not even a celestial.
I’m so screwed.
Because somewhere between running for my life and running from
him, I’ve fallen in love with my angel protector—and soon, he’ll have to go back home.

Gabriel
I am the Archangel Gabriel. Bringer of Justice, Revealer of Truth, and the Interpreter of the Almighty’s plan.
I came to earth to help a demon, but the experience turned my celestial existence upside down.
As it turns out, this realm is not all sunshine and rainbows. More like a swirling vortex of chaos. I have not seen a single harp. Wings are actively frowned upon. As are robes, for that matter.
But humans—and their emotions—are
fascinating. One human in particular. Willow Saunders. She’s in trouble. I alone can protect her. And I will.

Gabriel's Gambit is the second book in the Divine Guardians series. It can be read as a standalone, but it's best enjoyed after Storm of Sin.

Oh how the mighty fall...

Oh how the mighty fall...and this time it is an Archangel's turn. Gabriel is a tormented, broody angel who finds a whole new meaning when his path crosses Willow's. Quick to fall once she ends up in his orbit again, and he discovers she's in grave danger, a battle begins where all the favorite characters from Storm of Sin come together to fight for her life and their love. I love the humor, intriguing paranormal aspects, action, danger, and suspense weaved together as the love story blooms. Narrators brought the story to life. I absolutely loved Storm of Sin when I listened to it years ago and hoped Patricia would continue the series, as there were several characters I wanted to see more of, so I was ecstatic when I learned of this story!

Entertaining Series!

This is the second book in the Divine Guardians Series, a series of interconnected standalone paranormal romances. This story continues where the first book left off. Gabriel and Willow's story is captivating, filled with danger, action, suspense, and twists and turns. There is a lot going on in this story. I like this series. The writing is imaginative, and enthralling. If you like paranormal romance, this series is for you. Jason Clarke and Maxine Mitchell did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life. I enjoyed it.

Narration perfection!

I just love all of Patricia Eddy's PNR books! They take me away from reality and into another realm!

Narration by Jason Clarke and Maxine Mitchell is 5 star worthy! Anytime they narrate, I know I'm going to feel like I'm immersed in the story.

Gabriel is an angel who has been to Hell and back.. literally. Now he's on the earth realm and trying out new experiences and feeling more human.

Willow is a human who's had an other worldly incident while on a church tour with her students. Strange things begin happening to her that she can't explain.

All in all, I enjoyed this audiobook that includes angels, demons, shifters, witches and enough steam to make any reader satisfied!

Kept me on the edge of my seat! Not to be listen to in traffic!

In Patricia D. Eddy's "Gabriel's Gambit", archaelogist professor Willow thinks she is losing her mind when she starts seeing her doppleganger. She is later informed this is due to her being a witch. Meanwhile following events of "Storm of Sin" the angel Gabriel is enjoying the world of Earth when he comes upon Willow being tortured by the groups AURA to use her powers.
This book is non stop action from beginning to end! It is helpful to have read "Storm of Sin" before reading or listening to this book. Not recommend listening for while in traffic!

Fast-paced story with lots of suspense and action.

These angels are wonderful! I loved this fast-paced story of suspense, emotion, and action. Gabriel is an Arch Angel who came to the earthen realm to help Sinclair (half demon/ half angel from Stom or Sin) to rescue Zoe, Sin’s soul mate, from Hell. He’s now in this realm because his wings are damaged and rather than be carted home to the celestial realm, he takes Sin’s advice to see what Earth is all about. He has some adjusting to do and I found his child-like enthusiasm for Pizza and Grilled Cheese hilarious. In the process, he meets Willow a woman whose world has exploded, and he can’t stop thinking about her. The story takes off once they meet again and Gabriel gets involved with Willow’s circumstances.

I love Patricia D. Eddy’s masterful storytelling. Gabriel had me enthralled as any Arch Angel would, plus I had the added joy of listening to Jason Clarke and Maxine Mitchell bring life to all of the characters in Gabriel and Willow’s world. I was intrigued by Gabriel in Storm of Sin and looked forward to his story. I was so involved with these characters I couldn’t stop listening. This can be read as a stand-alone, but reading Storm of Sin first will help you better understand who Gabriel is. Willow, although chosen by blood, for her task, forges her own destiny with love ultimately triumphing overall. The banter between Gabriel, Sin, Maddox, and Killian had me laughing out loud on several occasions. This is an excellent story with very likable characters, even the baduns were fun to h@te. I can’t wait for Azrael’s story!
